Shelving Rock Falls

Shelving Rock Mountain (650 feet)
Trail: Shelving Rock Falls
Miles: 1.7 (3.4 round trip)
Difficulty: Easy
Date: May 20, 2012

Though we didn't make it to the summit that day - choosing to spend too much of our allotted time climbing down to the bottom of the falls for photographs and then to bushwhack for a bit in search of a cache-site - it was a gorgeous hike on a gorgeous day. Missing out on the summit meant missing the great views of Lake George at the top. Still - I think we took some great photographs along the way.

All in all, I believe we spent about two hours on the trail. I wish we hadn't needed to get back and I hope to do this one again, this time aiming for the summit.
